Hello there dear readers!! Hope you’re doin’ fine .. Coz, I’m doing fine here. Its like after a break some floodgates have been opened and things are just clicking on the place. ah! The ups and downs are still here. But, I think myself as a multitasker. So, I’m gonna roll with it. So, let’s jump to the topic and apology in advance for getting outta topic as I tend to do that alot.
So, as today’s topic is as clear as a sunny day. I’m gonna speak about antagonists of any story. As a disney and marvel universe fan I like to watch the movies and series alot. However, just out of their regular context of making the protagonists overpowered or too demsel in distress. The writers make the antagonists write and portray them too shady. Don’t you think so?
Let’s take an example of story ‘Snowhite’. Oh! The sweet girl who is too beautiful for her own good. A mother who sadly is taken away from her. A father who wants to fill the void of a maternal love in his lovely daughter’s life. Hence, remarries and settles down. Now, we know a concept of marriage is brought with lots of reassurances and promises. Otherwise, he could’ve hired a full time nanny for his dear daughter. And, finally enters the stepmother, a woman who was reassured with the protection of a man. But, Alas.. he dies as well.. Oh, universe!! Why’d you do that?
Now, we all might have heard ‘blood is thicker than water’ at some point of our life, haven’t we? Ain’t it true as well? All the knowledge of justice and scriptures is on one hand and being a tadbit biased with your own blood is only natural. So, how wouldn’t anyone feel insecure from their better. The books and movies they always portray the protagonists; no matter they are male or female, either too overpowered or too fragile. And it is just the tip of the iceberg. Most of the time they are too sweet and gentle in nature that it’d most assuredly give the readers or viewers some cavity.
While, on the other hand, the antagonists are made too dark that the parents would warn their children to not become like them in future. Hmm! Maybe, that’s why our perspective is like that? We have been taught from the very young age to look through everything in ‘black’ and ‘white’ shades. And, that’s why when one grows up and when they need to deal with too many colours and natures, they get the whiplashes of life.
Something new to wonder about? Whatchu’ think? Having mercy on antagonist because insecurity could embrace anyone, couldn’t it? Because, you know these positive and negative emotions are not taught to look into the world by wearing ‘black’ and ‘white’ shades.
So, that’s it for now, thank you so much for dropping in and giving your precious time to my ‘ramblings’. If they’re liked and understood by you, please make sure to share them. Because, I really think that if I can conect with some of the people on any level then I can definitely connect with few more. Au revoir!! A bientot!!
